Just a few weeks back I recall someone playing with the electricity physics on metallic objects to create really awesome looking conductive electricity art. Hell, we get articles every couple of weeks on this website showing something new people found to do in Breath of the Wild.

You could spend hours just taming different horses, going on treasure hunts, clearing out areas for a various collection of different loot, simply exploring, looking for every small korok seed you can find, completing your compendium, doing minigames, running through the puzzle dungeons, progressing through the story, challenging yourself with the Ganon boss fight and the castle at any time, cooking, doing weird side-quests with quirky characters, playing with the game's different physics, I could probably go on.

It was so extensive in fact, that some compared it to immersive sims where you can essentially 'live a second life' akin to the Elder Scrolls games. The reason BotW worked so well when it came out is that despite being the first real modern game of its kind which didn't rely on map markers to keep the player invested in a massive open area, it also had many, MANY mechanics which are all quite different from each other which will keep you exploring the world and immersing yourself in it. People are lately under a misconception that Breath of the Wild is 'not so great' and isn't actually worth the praise it got when that's completely asinine. Wed 1st Jun I've said this before when I was criticizing Elden Ring after my playthrough on the Soulsbourne forum thread but I'll repeat a small part of it here.Hopefully this one converts me to 3D Sonic! For all else, you're getting it on Switch because Sega can't ignore the huge userbase. I'm just trying to say, it looks like it's going to be really fun if they can successfully marry both speed and 3D AND if you have a Sony or Microsoft system. 3D Sonic games (and even Sonic in Smash Bros) feels. Specifically, I always had a hard time with jump accuracy, trying to land in a specific spot. I'm also not a fan of 3D Sonic games because frankly I feel they haven't been done well (not even Sonic Adventure, etc.) They just feel janky with getting whipped every which way, changing directions/whiplash. And you can't just ignore the Switch userbase and tell Nintendo to piss off because it's too big to ignore for ROI purposes.Īnyway, I'm not too hopeful this will play well on Switch but it certainly does look cool in concept. Having to develop and optimize for both Switch and the other systems is probably a nightmare. I really feel for developers these days: A HUGE market for the underpowered Switch and a divided market with PlayStation and Xbox. do we often question why the likes of Bayview, Rockport and Fairheaven look like the city planners merged a bunch of autodromes and filled them with buildings?😆 If you have a character defined by speed, giving him proper room and freeroam for it always feels it would be definitely cooler to find all this architecture tied to the lore, but from our outside perspective.

Really the most promising Sonic game since Chronicles to my taste. Not sure what part of this looks remotely "sparse" or "empty", but after seeing fans apply these labels to games like BotW and Xenoblade, that's not something to scratch one's head about.😏 So far, the world looks visually captivating (I said "visually", you framerate/resolution nerds, not "graphically") and its contents are exactly what I've long grown to be a sucker for (even despite recurrently sucking at😅) - to the point where I might be tempted to cut through the franchise backlog queue and get this game.
